I never knew how many shades of white there actually are. I sure figured it out when I decided I was about to start painting my entire house white. I first started looking for pictures of white walls that I loved. That maybe even confused me more because they were ALL different colors. I finally narrowed down my choices to BM White Dove, Behr Polar Bear, and Behr Ultra Pure White. I went to Home Depot with every intention of choosing Polar Bear for the walls and Ultra Pure White for the trim. I happened to glace over at the paint samples and noticed that Polar Bear has a yellow base, and knew that was not going to work for me. Even though I loved it in everyone’s home I’d seen, I would only see the yellow when I looked at it. So, I went with UPW for the walls in Eggshell and Semi Gloss for the trim. Same exact color but I wanted stark, clean white. (I also told in a previous post, I painted a cabinet the same. Read about that here.)

This was my first time painting walls white and it was a little challenging. It took a good three coats to completely cover the walls, and they were light to begin with. I would do it over again in a heart beat! I love it! I just wish someone else would come and spray the rest of my house.
